What We Believe

Where there is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control, it is the gift of the Holy Spirit working.

Jesus Christ is the center of our faith and beliefs. Our beliefs are an invitation to further explore our Christian discipleship.

God is a community of three persons.

•  We believe our Christian faith centers on the one and only living God.
•  God is revealed in Jesus Christ and moves through all creation as the Holy Spirit.
•  All things were created by God.
•  God alone is worthy of our worship, not man!
•  Our church confesses God’s existence and nature as written in the Old and New Testament.

•  We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God.
•  Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh and the Savior of the world.
•  We believe Jesus Christ is fully human and fully divine.
•  Through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God reconciles man back to himself.

•  We believe in the Holy Spirit.
•  The Holy Spirit moves through and sustains creation.
•  The Holy Spirit endows the church for missions.
•  The Holy Spirit frees the world from sin and death.
•  The Holy Spirit transforms us into disciples.

Where there is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control, it is the gift of the Holy Spirit working.

Key Concepts:

•  Salvation is a gift from God that promises us eternal life and saves us from Hell.
•  When we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we accept by faith, God’s gift of Salvation.
•  Through God’s Plan of Salvation, we are justified before God.
•  We experience Salvation through Jesus Christ and affirm that God’s grace has no bounds.
•  God’s love is greater than we can know.

•  Sin is our personal separation from God’s Plan of Salvation.
•  Sin is our natural tendency to go against the will and word of God as written in scripture.
•  Sin is both personal and structural. This is proven by generational curses that affect our families and culture.

•  God desires us to live free from sin.
•  The act of sin angers God and creates a barrier between the Lord and us.
•  The act of sin alienates us from God and one another.

•  Repentance is the act of leaving our sinful ways and returning to what God has commanded.
•  True Repentance allows us to atone for our sins with a strong determination to forsake those misdeeds.
•  When we are sincere about repentance, we are transformed by the renewing of our mind.

Key Concepts:

•  The message of salvation is one of hope and new life.
•  The believer does not become instantly perfect.
•  God honors our genuine efforts to follow Christ daily.
